THE COMBI RACK SYSTEM

THE COMBI RACK SYSTEM

The COMBI RACK SYSTEM is a modular system that incorporates several STERIONIZER units.

The system can be installed in air conditioning systems, usually in HAU units.

Techology highlights

  • Minimizes risk of infection from the Corona Virus
  • Inactivates airborne pollutants, such as viruses, bacteria, fungus, and mold spores
  • Neutralizes odors
  • Reduces the allergic effects for allergy sufferers discharging static electricity and prevents electrostatic build-up
  • Health benefits confirmed by leading international research institutions
  • Compliant with the American UL Environmental Claim Validation
  • STERIONIZER TM – EMC, CE & UL certified Self-cleaning emitters – maintenance free
  • Communication Port – can be integrated into the building management systems

COMBI RACK SYSTEM BEFORE THE FILTER

The system is installed where the air is returning before the filter unit to purify and kill pollutants that were caught and captured in the filter.

The concept of installing the system before the filter is to kill all the pollutants that are captured and accumulate on the filter and in the air conditioning unit.

This solution was characterized and designed after several severe cases where hospitals’ inpatients and medical staff were infected with contaminants such as Aspergillus and MRSA as a result of replacing the filters in the air conditioning systems in hospitals. This solution has been proven to be effective in killing the contaminants and keeping the system clean of various pollutants such as bacteria, viruses, mould, etc. This solution is found to be more efficient, safe and user-friendly (there is no fear of exposure as there is while using UV/C lights), cheaper and more economical in the long run with low energy consumption, no maintenance or components replacement as there is in UV/C lights.

THE COMBI RACK SYSTEM
AFTER THE FILTER

Installed after the filter unit to treat and purify the ducts, tunnels and the air that runs into the room space.

Installing the system behind the filter or in the duct units allows to treat and purify the ducts and the air in the room’s space actively and by that to maintain a clean air condition system and cleanroom spaces from various, contaminants, bacteria, viruses, mould, and more.

This solution can also save up to 30% in total power consumption in favour of air conditioning by reducing up to 75% of fresh air intake (according to ASHRAE standard).

Maintenance

Over time, a layer of dust accumulates on the emitters. Without cleaning the dust, the amount of ions emitted can decrease significantly.

For this purpose, the device has a self-cleaning mechanism for the emitters (programmable, default: one cleaning cycle per day), so you do not need to clean the emitters manually.

Technologies

An example of installation in a ceiling duct system. It is recommended to use one Duct Unit for airflow of up to 6000m3/h
Create an opening as required for the device. Keep the edges smooth to avoid air bypass
Insert the Duct Unit. The emitters should be facing the airflow direction. Make sure there is a gasket between the device and the pipe.
Attach the Duct Unit to the duct using 4 screws..
Connect the power source to the unit. If data networking is used connect also the data cables (you can connect several units together)
When the Duct Unit generates ions, they are distributed through the airflow and the sub-sections of the duct system out to the indoor area

The Sterionizer™
product overview

In natural habitats, solar and earth-based thermal energies create positive and negative ions that clean and renew outdoor air by removing harmful pollutants, such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores. The Sterionizer™ generates these same positive and negative ions — just like those found in nature — that purify and freshen indoor air by eliminating the harmful pollutants mentioned above.
The Sterionizer™ is a compact electronic module that can easily be integrated into various air treatment products, such as central
air conditioners (duct systems), refrigerators, air purifiers, humidifiers and de-humidifiers, blowers, ventilators, cold stores and more.
